Job Description

This is an exciting, busy role for someone to support the team across the entire Leadership, Talent and Learning agenda and to make a real difference to the way we analyse, interpret and use data to make business decisions. The Talent Analyst position plays a key role in the function, supporting and preparing internal talent events, workshops and training sessions, coordinating and tracking project deliverables, gathering and analysing internal and external data to determine key insights and opportunities. The role holder will conduct research to shape our propositions, and will build, track and own the Talent scorecard.

As Talent Analyst, You'll be supporting a function which partners across multiple business areas and geographies on a range of talent management, learning and development propositions. This includes leadership assessment, manager capability, leadership development programs, digital learning design and platforms, apprenticeships, succession planning and an evolving performance management process.

What you will do

  • Project Support: Supporting the Project Leads across Learning, Leadership Development and Talent in tracking project timelines, working with the Analytics team to set up and monitor project and on-going process KPIs, and to be the first point of contact for day-to-day project queries. Co-ordinate post project evaluation and insights to inform continuous improvement of processes.
  • Reporting & Scorecards: In close collaboration with the Analytics team, build a Talent scorecard with relevant and trackable KPIs. Maintaining dashboards and scorecards, tracking and communicating key metrics and outcomes to all stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis:Analysing talent-related data, providing insights and recommendation to support informed decision-making in talent development and retention.
  • Event Planning & Support: Supporting the coordination of internal talent events, workshops and training sessions, ensuring smooth preparations and on the day logistics.
  • Industry & Supplier Research: Reviewing, appraising and summarising best practices in the external market.
  • Record Keeping:Creating and maintaining team guidelines and discipline around document management and the storage of sensitive and confidential data.


Qualifications

  • Talent Management Knowledge: A reasonable understanding of talent management, learning and development principles, including leadership assessment, manager capability, digital learning design, apprenticeships, succession planning and performance management.
  • Reporting & Scorecard Preparation: Experience in building, preparing and maintaining reports, dashboards and scorecards, tracking key metrics and outcomes.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in analysing talent-related data utilising tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Research Skills: Competence in conducting industry and supplier research, summarising activities, reflecting best practice and making suitable recommendations.
  • Communications & Collaboration: Able to collaborate with internal stakeholders to agree and refine scorecards and other means of data capture and reporting. Experience in using MS Teams and Yammer as collaboration platforms.
  • Record Keeping: Experience in setting up processes and tools to document processes and approaches and to store secure and confidential data.

Desired

  • Education or Certification:  Degree and/or professional qualification in either an HR related field or Statistics, Data Science or similar
  • Project management qualification helpful
  • Experience within a small and fast-paced team and ability to deal with ambiguity
