The Firefox team is dedicated to delivering a fast, friendly, and usable browser. We are seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to develop Generative AI products and tools, ensuring safe and effective AI experiences in Firefox.

What is a Staff Engineer at Mozilla?

A Staff Engineer is a domain expert leading multi-month projects, influencing engineering teams, mentoring others, and collaborating on strategy and improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do:

  • Design, develop, and integrate Generative AI solutions in Firefox.
  • Build infrastructure for training and inference of language and vision models.
  • Implement validation and testing for models.
  • Monitor and optimize deployed models for performance.

What you'll bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning engineering.
  • Experience with ML tooling, infrastructure, and distributed systems.
  • Leadership in architecture design and team velocity improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with cross-team collaboration and documentation.
