The Opportunity:
As an SSR Integration Engineer at Rovco, you will be at the forefront of deploying revolutionary new service capabilities. Your expertise will define and deploy the robotics, survey and communications infrastructure critical to achieving our goals. This is your chance to be an in-field expert, driving the integration of Subsea Robotics (ROVs & AUVs) and ensuring a seamless handover of new capabilities to our operational teams.
Main Responsibilities
Deploy and Integrate Robotics Systems:
- Define and implement robotics, survey, and communications infrastructure for autonomous surface and subsea operations.
- Ensure seamless integration of ROVs and AUVs into operational environments.
- Conduct hands-on deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of new robotics systems in the field.
Expertise Transfer:
- Serve as the subject matter expert during the deployment of new capabilities.
- Provide comprehensive training and support to operational teams to ensure successful handover and ongoing system performance.
- Develop and deliver detailed documentation, procedures, and training materials.
Collaboration and Innovation:
- Work closely with engineering, project management, and operational teams to align integration efforts with business goals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements in robotics and survey technologies.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to maintain Rovco's competitive edge.
Field Operations:
- Lead on-site integration and commissioning of autonomous systems, including ROVs and AUVs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all field activities.
- Provide real-time problem-solving and technical support during offshore operations.
- As part of this role there is a requirement to work offshore across our fleet of vessels.
You should apply if you have:
Essential:
- Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong background in ROVs and AUVs at Supervisor Level.
- Strong technical expertise in robotics, control systems, and underwater survey technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in challenging field conditions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel internationally and work offshore as required.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of autonomous surface and subsea robotics is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inspection and geophysical survey methods
