AI/Regulatory Attorney

with a deep understanding of artificial intelligence and a passion for technology-driven innovation to join our innovative, fast-growing, and customer-focused Legal Team. As a key member of our global legal team, you will navigate the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape impacting Entrust’s cutting-edge products and services, including AI-powered solutions within our Onfido Brand. Your role will involve providing strategic legal guidance, supporting our go-to-market strategies, and driving compliance across global regulatory frameworks. You will also have experience working closely with technology providers and third-party data sources for AI-driven use cases and the ability to participate in executive engagements internally and externally.This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to shape the future of AI governance while partnering with diverse teams on cutting-edge AI-powered digital identity solutions. The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will change based on company priorities, new legal issues, and the regulatory and competitive ecosystem. primary regulatory expert

for Entrust’s products, advising on AI-related matters, go-to-market strategies, and commercial transactions.Monitor and analyze global advancements in AI and emerging regulations, conducting research to identify legal risks and guiding data strategy discussions.Advise product teams on global privacy regulations, translating legal guidance into practical solutions, and driving solutions cross-functionally.Partner with product teams to embed legal considerations into the design and deployment of AI technologies.Develop and draft policies, processes, and contractual clauses addressing AI and regulatory concerns to mitigate risks effectively.Lead

AI governance efforts , partnering with business stakeholders to educate internal teams on AI-related risks, opportunities, and responsible development practices.Represent the legal team on local and global cross-functional leadership teams, contributing strategic insights to drive business objectives.Serve as the

London site leader

for the legal team, fostering a collaborative and positive environment while managing priorities and building strong internal relationships.Manage a high volume of diverse transactions, prioritize effectively, and maintain responsiveness in a fast-paced setting.Manage UK based Legal Team up to five.Qualifications:Basic Requirements:Educational Background:

LLB (or equivalent) from an accredited law school; an LLM is a plus. Must be authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.Work Authorization:

Must have unrestricted work authorization in your jurisdiction and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.Experience:

Minimum of 10 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in an in-house corporate environment.Language Skills:

Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional languages such as French, Spanish, Dutch, or German is a significant advantage.Preferred Qualifications:Communication & Leadership:

Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with a strategic and process-oriented mindset.Regulatory Expertise:

Proven experience in global regulatory matters, particularly in AI governance and compliance.Commercial Acumen:

Strong background in supporting commercial and technology legal teams, including drafting and negotiating agreements with a focus on regulatory compliance.Management Experience:

Prior leadership and representation on a business unit leadership team.Strategic Engagement:
