The Amazon Shopper Panel is an opt-in, invitation-only program where participants can earn monthly rewards by sharing receipts from purchases made outside of Amazon and answering surveys. The program provides immediate rewards to participants who choose to join the panel and benefits all customers by enhancing shopping, product, and advertising experiences. It also helps advertisers understand how their ads support sales at other retailers and improves their products through panel surveys. As part of the Amazon Shopper Panel team, you will help build features that accelerate the adoption of the Amazon Shopper Panel mobile app. Learn more at panel.amazon.com.
Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon, you will define technology strategies to solve business problems and deliver solutions independently with limited guidance. Your work will impact software architecture, dependencies, performance, and business value. You will solve complex software problems with scalable and extensible solutions. A successful candidate will see their work on the Amazon Shopper Panel mobile app, viewed by millions and driving significant revenue impact, while broadening their technical skills in a creative, experimental, environment.
Key responsibilities include Proven experience in React Native development along with backend APIs
Strong understanding of mobile app development lifecycles
Ability to maintain and improve existing code
Experience with production support and troubleshooting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of experience in system design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling)
Experience programming with at least one software language
Proven experience in React Native development
Strong understanding of mobile app development lifecycles
Experience with production support and troubleshooting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
