Senior Golang Developer - 2 Day London - Inside IR35

JN Technical is recruiting a Senior Tekla Detailer on behalf of an established drawing office that specialise in the structural steel sector.
In this role you will be responsible for producing detailed 3D models of steel structures, generating fabrication drawings, and coordinating with engineers, architects, and project managers.
This will be a hybrid based position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3D Modeling & Detailing:
    • Develop accurate 3D models of steel structures usingTekla Structuressoftware.
    • Create detailed fabrication and erection drawings for steel fabricators and construction teams.
    • Model connections, beams, columns, and other structural elements per project requirements.
  • Drawing Production:
    • Generate shop and assembly drawings from Tekla models.
    • Prepare and issue detailed material take-offs, including bill of materials (BOM).
    • Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards.
  • Collaboration & Coordination:
    • Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, project managers, and fabricators to ensure all design details are accurate.
    • Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to ensure proper detailing.
  • Quality Control:
    • Conduct self-checks and reviews of models and drawings to maintain accuracy.
    • Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the design prior to fabrication.
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience as a Tekla Detailer or in a similar detailing role.
    • Strong understanding of structural steel detailing, fabrication, and erection processes.
    • Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
    • Knowledge of clash detection, project coordination, and BIM modelling.
    • Previous experience working in a fabrication or construction environment.
  • Skills
    • Proficient inTekla Structures(essential).
    • Familiar with other detailing software (AutoCAD, Revit) is desirable.
    • Understanding of steel design codes and standards
    • Strong knowledge of connection design and detailing practices.
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Work Environment:

  • Full-time permanent position with overtime payable
  • Flexible/hybrid working available
