About us

Owkin is an AI biotechnology company that uses AI to find the right treatment for every patient. We combine the best of human and artificial intelligence to answer the research questions shared by biopharma and academic researchers. By closing the translational gap between complex biology and new treatments, we bring new diagnostics and drugs to patients sooner.

Owkin has raised over $300 million and became a unicorn through investments from leading biopharma companies (Sanofi and BMS) and venture funds (Fidelity, GV and BPI, among others).

Owkin is seeking the best and brightest to join our fast-growing and dynamic team.

About the role:

As a Senior AI Product Manager, you will be responsible for transforming complex AI models into actionable and scalable products, making them easily available to our internal and partner researchers through our platform, ensuring its successful integration into Owkin's drug discovery workflow.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, bioinformaticians, engineers, and biologists, as well as business stakeholders, to define product strategy, roadmap, and execution plans. The majority of your work will be focused on defining the strategy rather than day to day operations. You'll leverage your expertise in product management and machine learning to shape the future of Owkin's drug pipeline.

In particular, you will:

  1. Develop and communicate the vision and strategy for our AI products, aligning with our mission and goals. You'll craft a roadmap that considers user needs, business strategy, and industry trends.
  2. Identify and tackle strategic opportunities with structured reasoning, sound judgment, and an actionable delivery plan.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams, synthesize user insights, and regularly analyze product usage, to translate your product strategy into impactful and innovative features.
  4. Implement strategies to scale the use of our AI platform across the organization. Gather user feedback, create training materials, and continually improve the product based on user needs.

Position is based in our Paris office or remotely in France.

About you

  1. 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in relevant domains with experience in building 0 to 1 AI products
  2. Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in data science or bioinformatics, ideally in a drug discovery field
  3. A data-driven and user-focused mindset, with a proven record of developing product strategies that impacted company objectives
  4. Excellent communication, with ability to deliver complex topics in easily understandable terms to a diverse set of stakeholders
  5. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating in cross-functional teams, independently and effectively navigating ambiguity and competing priorities
  6. Fluent English speaker

Preferred qualifications/bonus:

  1. Background in bioinformatics, biology or previous experience in biotech or drug discovery
  2. French speaker

AI Jobs in the Public Sector: MOD, NHS & Gov Digital Service Opportunities

Artificial intelligence (AI) has rapidly evolved from a niche field of computer science into a transformative force reshaping industries across the globe. From healthcare to finance and from education to defence, AI-driven tools and techniques are revolutionising how we approach problems, improve efficiency, and make data-driven decisions. Nowhere is this transformation more apparent than in the United Kingdom’s public sector. Key government entities, including the Ministry of Defence (MOD), the National Health Service (NHS), and the Government Digital Service (GDS), are increasingly incorporating AI into their operations. Consequently, AI jobs within these bodies are growing both in number and strategic importance. In this comprehensive blog post, we will explore the landscape of AI jobs across the UK public sector, with a close look at the MOD, the NHS, and the Government Digital Service. We will delve into the reasons these organisations are investing heavily in AI, the types of roles available, the essential skills and qualifications required, as well as the salary ranges one might expect. Whether you are a new graduate keen to make a meaningful impact through your technical skills or a seasoned professional looking for your next career move, the public sector offers a wealth of opportunities in AI. By the end of this article, you will have a clearer understanding of why AI is so crucial to the public sector’s success, which roles are in demand, and how you can tailor your application to stand out in a competitive and rewarding job market.

AI Jobs for Non‑Technical Professionals: Where Do You Fit In?

Your Seat at the AI Table Artificial Intelligence (AI) has left the lab and entered boardrooms, high‑street banks, hospitals and marketing agencies across the United Kingdom. Yet a stubborn myth lingers: “AI careers are only for coders and PhDs.” If you can’t write TensorFlow, surely you have no place in the conversation—right? Wrong. According to PwC’s UK AI Jobs Barometer 2024, vacancies mentioning AI rose 61 % year‑on‑year, but only 35 % of those adverts required advanced programming skills (pwc.co.uk). The Department for Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) likewise reports that Britain’s fastest‑growing AI employers are “actively recruiting non‑technical talent to scale responsibly” (gov.uk). Put simply, the nation needs communicators, strategists, ethicists, marketers and project leaders every bit as urgently as it needs machine‑learning engineers. This 2,500‑word guide shows where you fit in—and how to land an AI role without touching a line of Python.
