Senior Product Data Scientist

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Data Scientist. You will support the Product organization to make data‑driven decisions. You will work on complex and never before explored problems delivering insight on unique and interesting datasets. This role is a hands‑on delivery‑oriented role by owning one of the key delivery­workstreams. We work in an Agile environment where we are constantly learning and exchanging ideas.


The Team/Projects You will be working on:

The Biometrics team ensures that the selfies and video clips that users submit feature real humans. These teams are growing our new facial products (Facial Similarity for photo and video, Known Faces, motion, and verification) for live detection, providing a substantial leap in selfie and video verifications.


You will have the opportunity to work on Biometric Projects ranging from improving the SDK experience to detecting deep fakes.


What you will do:

  • Technical hands‑on delivery on measuring product performance through the product development cycle i.e. design experiments to test the hypothesis, define success metrics of features, and define the data points needed capturing to facilitate accurate measurement.
  • Apply technical data skills (data science, statistics, coding/scripting) and expertise to produce strategic as well as tactical insights that will aid product strategy, discovery, and planning.
  • Work in partnership with product managers, applied scientists and engineers to define, measure, and communicate product metrics.
  • Act as a mentor for junior Product Data Scientists, providing guidance on their development, and supporting and reviewing delivery when needed.
  • Ensure alignment in analytical delivery between Product, R&D, and Analytics Engineering Team.
  • Be a thought leader in the use of data and analytics, help and educate a diverse group of data users to utilise Entrust's tools and data assets.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in end‑to‑end analytical delivery, i.e. requirement capture, stakeholder management, metric design as well as delivering complex analysis.
  • Solid demonstrable technical experience using analytical tools, statistics, and data science techniques to build experiments, test hypotheses, and conduct analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience in looking at data from a variety of angles (i.e. product/commercial performance, operations, finance, and user experience) using both technical skills and deep product/business understanding.
  • Experience in mentoring and nurturing other members of the team.
  • Strong technical experience with SQL and Python.
  • Be a self‑starter who takes the initiative in spotting opportunities and finding ways to solve business problems using data.
  • Comfortable with engaging with all levels of stakeholders and explaining complex technical issues to non‑technical audiences.

Desirable:

  • Experience in working with technology and product development teams.
  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with BI tools (i.e. Looker, Tableau etc.).
  • Experience in using big data & cloud technologies.
  • SaaS and Product analytics background, understanding how to devise metrics and KPIs in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience in Machine Learning, building data products using ML.

Locations:

  • London, UK – Hybrid work model (3 days per week in‑office)
  • Paris, France – Flexible work model (Hybrid or fully remote)
