SENIOR PRICING ANALYST

UP TO £50,000

This business seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst to work across their aggregator function looking at new customer acquisition.


THE COMPANY

This is a growing UK-based insur-tech offering specialist travel insurance to those who may struggle with typical insurers, for reasons like ill health, and old age. This is a growth role, where you will be responsible for maximising the number of new channels the business earns through aggregator channels.


THE ROLE

You will be doing the following daily:

  • Collaborate with teams across Product, Underwriting, Finance, and Marketing to design and price travel insurance products customized for specific customer segments.
  • Conduct market research and analyse competitor strategies to identify opportunities for new product development.
  • Create and validate retail and technical pricing models for new products to balance customer satisfaction and profitability goals.
  • Implement new pricing frameworks within the rating engine, ensuring accurate reflection on aggregator platforms.
  • Analyse data from aggregator platforms to understand pricing trends, market conditions, and customer behaviour.
  • Develop and execute competitive pricing strategies to boost quote volume and conversion rates on aggregator channels.
  • Monitor pricing performance across multiple aggregator platforms daily, making rapid adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of sales data and customer demographics to detect trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to refine pricing models and align them with evolving market dynamics.
  • Work with the pricing team to improve demand forecasting models and enhance price sensitivity analysis.
  • Track key performance metrics like conversion rates, loss ratios, GWP, and income across aggregator platforms and brands.
  • Coordinate closely with the Commercial team to align pricing strategies with sales goals and partner requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product and Underwriting teams to ensure pricing updates align with product coverage and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with Marketing to test and implement promotional pricing strategies on aggregator platforms.


YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of experience in a pricing role within the insurance industry.
  • Experience working with aggregator platforms is highly desirable.
  • Experience developing and pricing new insurance products.
  • Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Numerate degree from a Russel Group university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
