What you’ll do:

  • Build and shape the Transaction Monitoring department for the UK entity, creating and leading teams across multiple locations.
  • Develop and execute a vision for the team, aligning with the company’s larger growth and compliance goals.
  • Drive a culture of high performance, ensuring the team meets both strategic and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and quality assurance teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay on top of UK financial crime regulations, applying them proactively to mitigate evolving risks.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—product, operations, and compliance—to keep monitoring controls sharp and effective.
  • Work with the Second Line of Defence to turn policy decisions into daily operational success.
  • Coach and mentor your team, providing regular feedback and fostering growth in both technical skills and leadership.
  • Balance the dual objectives of delivering exceptional customer service and managing financial crime risks, while maintaining adherence to SLAs.
  • Track KPIs meticulously to ensure top-tier performance across the team.
  • Be the face of transaction monitoring, handling stakeholder relationships with finesse and navigating challenges with expertise.

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven leadership in building and managing high-impact Transaction Monitoring and Investigations teams.
  • Expertise in UK financial crime regulations and their strategic implications for businesses, especially around AML/CTF.
  • Deep understanding of payments, payment processing, and the lifecycle of transaction monitoring—from data ingestion to alert management.
  • A record of success in remote team management, delivering outstanding performance.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and AI innovations in transaction monitoring and the ability to integrate them into your strategy.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a passion for driving meaningful change.
