An Overview of the Role

This is a high impact role in the Cloud Advisory capability unit contributing to our leadership in cloud transformation on Microsoft cloud technologies across our clients in different industry sectors. 

As a Senior Manager (Microsoft Cloud) you will be – 

Responsible for providing technology leader on Microsoft cloud technologies to our clients across industry sectors and help navigate their cloud transformation on Microsoft Cloud.  Bringing a strong technology focus in the client’s transformation to Microsoft cloud across the end-to-end journey from data centre exit planning, migration strategy, setting up CoEs, operating model transformation, landing zone designs and robust target state architecture including infrastructure, business, application, data, security, integration and platform. Establishing long-term relationships with CxOs of our clients, using your technical and professional credibility to act as trusted advisor to them on their strategic direction, growth, and investment in the Microsoft cloud technologies.  Providing guidance to our clients advising and influencing them on technology trends and opportunities including Gen AI, security, resilience, sustainability, industry clouds etc. Required to work and communicate with all levels of an organisation to collaboratively innovate, design, and implement transformations.  Bringing an acute sense of market trends and the challenges facing our clients, to deliver lasting and sustainable organisation transformations. Contributing to the growth and success of a top-tier consulting practice.  Contributing to our market offers, knowledge and the overall strategic goals of the practice. Responsible for delivery and leadership, you’ll be responsible for consulting sales in excess of £1m per annum.

 Business Development– Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.  Internal contribution– Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development. Learning & Development– Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We'd Love To Meet Someone With

You’ll bring experience in transforming business through technology and transforming the way clients operate. Comfortable at working in a technology-driven environment, you will bring proven skills and experience in the following:

 Experience in cloud strategy and implementation for large and mid-size organisations on Microsoft Azure and other Microsoft cloud technologies   Broad knowledge across all areas of Microsoft cloud including Azure, security, Data & AI, Power Platform and Office 365.   Experience in developing cloud adoption strategy and roadmaps for clients on Azure with deep understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework  Experience in large scale migration to Azure including landing zone build, discovery & assessment, intake planning, migration execution and post-migration activities Experience of working with Microsoft alliance & partner teams, partner architects and customer success teams Experience in proactively selling the business value of Azure and other Microsoft services to client executives Experience in developing thought leadership, go to market offerings and innovation business solutions that help clients to realise value from Microsoft products and services Experience in architecture, design, and deployment of Azure & hybrid solutions  Experience in leading and conducting architecture reviews, resiliency reviews and technical optimisation.  Experience across expertise across key workloads including Compute, Security, Networking, Storage, AVS, AVD, Linux, and other Azure Infrastructure services.  Understanding of industry clouds provided by Microsoft in one or more industry domains. Understanding of Azure security models, DevSecOps and Azure cloud operations

In addition to the capabilities mentioned above, we are looking for an additional set of experiences from candidates seeking to apply to Senior Manager level:

Evidence of having successfully delivered and led advisory engagements, making use of the entire Microsoft suite to drive positive outcomes and developing opportunities to deliver follow-on work  Evidence of leading successful large-scale, complex transformation delivery engagements in alignment to a client’s strategic objectives  Evidence of managing teams, including multiple workstreams in complex delivery environments  The ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders Experience in leading and supporting sales efforts, as well as shaping deal and engagement commercials  Evidence of achieving sales targets of at least £500k per annum Evidence of practice development, team building and developing more junior colleagues Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions. Being comfortable in a client-facing role, with previously consulting or advisory experience.
