To support us on this journey and fuel our growth, Personio is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Counsel, someone ambitious and genuine, who works best in the midst of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. You will report into the Senior Managing Product Counsel and you will play a key role in shaping and scaling our legal product offering, ensuring compliance with regulations and providing valuable legal and compliance solutions to our business and customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development and enhancement of our product offering. Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

You will act as alegal business partner for Product and Engineering throughout the product development lifecycle to proactively identify legal issues and provide practical advice to support innovation at Personio.  You will manage Personio’sday-to-day product queries, ensuring that scalable advice is always at the forefront by drafting and managing the implementation of FAQs, guidelines and training materials. Once we build then we ship - you will advise on compliance withmarketing and advertising lawsin our key countries to support our Marketing and Sales teams to ensure that when we launch a product, add a feature, make public claims about Personio - we do so in line with our legal obligations. You will work closely with our Partnerships team to execute onnegotiating, drafting and advising on new partnerships that add value to Personio. You will support Personio’s brand by advising Personio’s Marketing teams onintellectual property matters. You will bring your knowledge ofEU and UK privacy lawsand apply it to Personio, to identify possible privacy risks at different stages of the product development lifecycle and embed a ‘privacy by design’ mindset. Personio is a fast-moving environment, you will stay informed about emerging legal trends including developments in technology, employment law, privacy and artificial intelligence by enabling stakeholders through continuoustraining and education.

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

Qualified lawyer with a minimum of7 years’ experience at a law firm or in house legal departmentwith a focus onproduct counselling, privacy and technology.Advanced legal knowledgeof technology legal issues including intellectual property, privacy, commercial, regulatory compliance, application of new laws (experience of advising on artificial intelligence a plus) in theEU and UK. Advanced capability toquickly and independently analyse complex legal issues, evaluate key risks and make clear recommendations to support product development. Able to own andindependently manage projects/multiple workstreamsin a fast-paced environment. Jira, GSuite + otherlegal tools expertise with advanced knowledge of legal processesto optimise processes for scalability and make recommendations. Ability tobuild trust with and influence cross-functional groups of stakeholders.Excellent communication skillswith the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in the preparation of documentation.Fluent written and spoken English; German or further European languages are a plus.
