Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Director, Sales Strategy and Operations Business Partner is a leadership role operating at a Global remit and responsible for playing a critical role in fostering and maintaining strategic partnerships and relationships with Sales Leadership/Teams within a Region and / or Business Unit.

This leadership role is instrumental in collaborating with key sales stakeholders within Region/Business Unit to drive business success and revenue growth whilst ensuring alignment with global sales/organizational objectives.

This role requires a deep understanding of the global Sales Strategy and Operations capabilities as a standard taxonomy, as well the relevant dynamics of the Region/Business Unit being supported. This role also requires a strategic mindset and unique leadership abilities to enhance decision support and value creation.

This people management role is responsible for driving and fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving strategic and operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Key roles and responsibilities:

Act as a strategic sales business partner by supporting Region/Business Unit by creating a strong interlock between local and global capabilities to enhance decision support and value creation. Create strategic business partnership linkage with Region/Business Unit to understand their unique dynamics, market conditions and client needs. Act as a bridge between global Sales and Operations CoEs and Region/Business Unit offering first line communication and support and guidance to address specific challenges and opportunities. Ensure a deep understanding of the global sales capabilities standard taxonomy and value streams to drive successful execution into Region/Business Unit. Keep up to date on new or updated global sales capabilities standard taxonomy and ensure execution within the Region/Business Unit. Ensure ongoing collaboration with global sales CoEs, ensuring input into key sales activities or programmes and help drive execution of such into the Region/Business Unit. Focus on enhancing skills and governance and deploying such frameworks into Region/Business Unit. Monitor sales performance of Region/Business Unit and identify areas for improvement, growth, and optimization leveraging the relevant global capabilities value workstreams. Collaborate with Region/Business Unit to address performance challenges and support required from the centre. Provide ongoing support and resources to help Region/Business Unit achieve their sales goals. Provide direct people management support and leadership, thereby driving and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture focused on achieving strategic and operational excellence. Build and lead high-performing team(s) providing mentorship and guidance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to ensure alignment and synergy in stakeholder engagement efforts. Develop and maintain budget playbook for FY25 to enable globally aggregated bookings budget planning and alignment across Regional / Business Units. Establish and improve global performance management criteria and sales metrics to support business planning and aligned visibility of sales performance. Enable and support the creation of a Global Accounts structure for one NTT Data. Support the enablement of Regional/Business Unit sales synergies to increase the number of accounts with higher share of wallet.

Knowledge, skills and attributes:

Proven track record of developing and executing operational strategies that drive excellence and business results Thought leader with creative, strategic, and financial acumen coupled with strong business intellect necessary for taking the business to the next level Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Regional/Business Unit Sales Leadership/Teams Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities Results-driven with a focus on achieving Global and Regional/Business Unit sales objectives Strategic thinking, leadership and abilities to collaborate effectively between Global and Region/Business Unit to drive business success Knowledge of risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to business relationships and partnerships Capacity to influence and persuade stakeholders in order to drive business success High ethical standards and integrity in all interactions

Academic qualifications and certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or a Sales related field or equivalent Relevant Sales certifications

Experience required:

Substantial experience gained in a similar global sales or sales strategy leadership role, preferably within a Global IT Services organization Substantial experience working in diverse and geographically dispersed teams Substantial experience in strategic planning, setting sales strategies, and aligning sales objectives with broader organizational goals is highly beneficial Substantial experience in business partnering or working closely with different cross functional areas, including marketing, product development, and operations, is valuable Substantial experience in collaborating with various cross functional groups and teams within a global organization to achieve shared goals Substantial experience in managing change and transformation sales initiatives
