In parallel, they are introducing new, wide-ranging, complex, and data-intensive tax regulations to increase tax transparency, drive more efficient compliance and insight, and increase tax revenues to fund governmental initiatives.Role Summary : EY is looking for a talented and driven Data Scientist to deliver generative AI products within Tax, supporting UK Financial Services Tax in delivering cutting-edge generative AI solutions to our FS clients. The ideal candidate will have a background in data science, with hands-on experience in building machine learning models, conducting product analytics, and crafting AI strategies within the financial services industry.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with the AI team to develop and refine machine learning models that address complex tax-related challenges faced by financial services clients.Contribute to the creation of AI proofs of concept (POCs), demonstrating the practical applications and benefits of AI in the financial services sector.Engage with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into broader service offerings, enhancing the value delivered to clients.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data science and AI.Support client engagements, providing technical expertise and insights to inform decision-making and strategy.Key Skills and Qualifications:Proven experience in data science, with a focus on machine learning model development/LLM application development.Familiar with frameworks and GenAI tools including LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI and Ollama.Strong understanding of AI strategy design and the development lifecycle.Ideally, a background in technology with additional experience of accounting or mathematics with the ability to apply interdisciplinary knowledge to solve complex problems.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.Education and Experience:A bachelor's or master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science/developer role, preferably within the financial services industry.Experience with accounting principles and financial data is highly desirable.
