Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist within the Experimentation Platform Team, you will develop and maintain our in-house experimentation platform that runs all experiments at Viator. You will collaborate with software engineers, analysts, and product managers to build high-quality models and tools integrated into our platform.

This role offers flexibility to work from our European offices (Oxford, London, Lisbon, Krakow) or remotely, with regular travel to offices for collaboration.

Responsibilities

  1. Identify opportunities to improve experimentation methodologies, ensuring adherence to industry best practices.
  2. Apply advanced statistical techniques to validate experimental findings.
  3. Build and maintain data pipelines for experiment analysis.
  4. Utilize causal inference techniques to address business problems.
  5. Work with stakeholders to define requirements for a world-class experimentation platform.

Key Requirements

  1. Postgraduate degree in statistics, machine learning, or equivalent experience across the data science lifecycle.
  2. Deep knowledge of statistical hypothesis testing and ML modeling techniques.
  3. Proficiency in Python (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn) and SQL.
  4. Effective communication skills across diverse audiences.
  5. Experience with A/B testing in e-commerce is a plus.
