twentyAI are partnering with a leading Law Firm in the City who are seeking a passionate Senior Data Scientist to join their forward-thinking GenAI team. This role is perfect for individuals eager to leverage NLP and GenAI to revolutionise the legal industry. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying innovative AI solutions aimed at enhancing legal processes.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Design & Develop: Create and optimise machine learning models, focusing on NLP tasks such as text extraction, classification, sentiment analysis, and large-scale language model development.
  • Generative AI: Develop and fine-tune generative models for tasks including text generation, summarisation, and content creation using architectures like GPT, BERT, and their successors.
  • Experimentation: Design rigorous experimentation frameworks to test model performance and iterate on findings to ensure continual improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including Partners at the firm to understand their needs and design solutions that can augment their experience and expertise. 
  • Model Deployment: Implement and maintain scalable AI models in production environments, ensuring robustness and compliance with data privacy regulations.
  • Research & Innovation: Stay current with the latest research in NLP and Generative AI, and propose innovative approaches to solve complex language-based problems.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5-7 years of hands-on experience in data science, specifically with NLP and GenAI-focused projects.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Python and related ML/NLP libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, NLTK, spaCy).
    • Deep understanding of transformer-based architectures (e.g., BERT, GPT variants, LLaMA).
    • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
    • Knowledge of prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for specialized tasks.
