Are you a seasoned Data Scientist with a passion for cybersecurity and networking? BforeAI is seeking an exceptional Senior Data Scientist to join our innovative team!  

In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise to develop cutting-edge analytics and machine learning models that proactively detect and mitigate security threats, optimize network performance, and generate actionable insights.

Please note, this job can be anywhere - we have to select a city for job boards.

 What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats and anomalies in network traffic.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets from various sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights related to cybersecurity and network performance.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, network engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of different algorithms and models detecting security threats to optimize performance.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to process and analyze real-time and batch data.
  • Create and deliver clear, concise, and actionable reports and visualizations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead with innovation and stay at the forefront of data science, cybersecurity, and networking advancements, continuously bringing new ideas and methodologies to the table.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

 You’ll be a great fit if 

  • You have a Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • You have proven industry experience of at least 4 to 5 years with similar experience in data science, with a focus on cybersecurity or networking.
  • You have a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat detection, and network protocols.
  • You are a strong communicator, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • You have strong programming skills in Python.
  • You have experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.
  • You are proficient in data manipulation and analysis using SQL. 
  • You are proficient in working with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Neo4j)
  • It would be preferable to have some experience with Vector databases
  • You are familiar with big data technologies such as Spark, Flink and Kafka.
  • You are familiar with workflow orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Kubeflow, etc.)
  • You are familiar with distributed search and analytics engine (e.g., Elasticsearch)
  • You have some experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • You have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure AI platform and preferable to have similar experience with AWS or GCP. 
  • You must have experience of MLOps ( i.e., deploying, monitoring, and maintaining machine learning models in production environments).

We use an Employee of Record service to facilitate seamless global hiring processes and offer benefits tailored to the country where you will be working! For countries not supported by our EOR partner, talk to us about being a contractor. In all cases, you will need to be authorized to work in the country you’re based in.

We offer a compensation package up to $120,000 USD per year in CTC (Cost to Company). Cost to Company represents our total investment, which includes all benefits and employer contributions. The final take-home pay will differ due to local tax regulations, selected benefits, and mandatory deductions. The actual offer will be based on the role level, skills, and experience of the candidate. Our compensation structure is thoughtfully designed to align with the expertise and impact potential of each individual.
