    About the team:

Our B2B team is building the foundation for how organizations use Goodnotes at scale. Goodnotes is no longer just for students. We're seizing a massive market opportunity: the B2B sector. Think knowledge workers – that's a market 10-20 times larger than the student market, with bigger budgets and even bigger potential. We're talking about changing how professionals work, collaborate, and create.
The team is distributed across Europe and Asia and works with an asynchronous-first culture grounded in documentation and shared ownership. You are welcome to work remotely from anywhere, with at least four hours of overlap with your closest collaborators, or you can join us in our Hong Kong or London office. Time zone differences will not affect your work-life balance thanks to the async nature of our ways of working.
    About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate data scientist to work in the Insights team. You will be working alongside Data Scientist and Data Engineers. You will lead analytics and insights of Goodnotes professional users: experimentation efforts as well as deep dives, user’s behavior modeling and use case clustering, KPIs forecasting impact attribution and customer acquisition optimization.

This is the role for you, if you’re excited to work on the things listed below:
Analyze user behavior to find and explain novel drivers of key outcomes, such as activation, engagement, upgrades, and churn.
Drive proactive analysis/research into high-potential green fields.
Ensure all teams have insight to data and can answer their own first-order questions.
Develop data literacy programs and provide easy-to-use tools with clear documentation, examples, and tutorials.
Attribute impact to product features and marketing campaigns.
Perform basic ETL tasks to model new dimensions and facts in our data lakehouse.
The skills you will need to be successful in the above:

6+ years of experience in data science and analytics space
Hands-on experience in defining and analyzing large, complex datasets, finding actionable business solutions to loosely defined revenue and operations problems.
Proven stakeholder management expertise. Gifted at explaining your findings clearly to a non-technical audience and excited by helping your team and stakeholders develop KPIs and self-serve dashboards.
Technically proficient with relevant analytics tools (dbt, modern BI tools) and languages (SQL, Python or R)
Deep expertise in designing and analyzing rigorous experiments of varying degrees of complexity. This includes mastery of A/B test design, as well as understanding of peeking techniques and multi-armed bandit.
Ability to combine your strong business acumen with statistical expertise (e.g. confidence intervals, regression modeling, significance testing), including demonstrated experience with common machine learning techniques for deep data mining and exploration (e.g. predictive modeling, time series modeling, classification, and clustering techniques).
Deep concern about the details and high-quality instrumentation that lead to high-quality, impactful insights.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Even if you don’t meet all the criteria listed above, we would still love to hear from you! Goodnotes places a lot of value on learning and development and will support your growth if needed.

    The interview process:

How to Find Hidden AI Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like BCS, IET & the Turing Society

When it comes to job hunting in artificial intelligence (AI), most candidates head straight to traditional job boards, LinkedIn, or recruitment agencies. But what if there was a better way to find roles that aren’t advertised publicly? What if you could access hidden job leads, gain inside knowledge, or get referred by people already in the field? That’s where professional bodies and specialist AI communities come in. In this article, we’ll explore how UK-based organisations like BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology), and the Turing Society can help you uncover AI job opportunities you won’t find elsewhere. We'll show you how to strategically use their directories, special-interest groups (SIGs), and CPD (Continuing Professional Development) events to elevate your career and expand your AI job search in ways most job seekers overlook.

AI Jobs Salary Calculator 2025: Work Out Your Market Value in Seconds

Why your 2024 salary data is already outdated “Am I being paid what I’m worth?” It is the question that creeps in whenever you update your CV, see a former colleague announce a punchy pay rise on LinkedIn, or notice a recruiter slide into your inbox with a role that looks eerily similar to your current one—only advertised at £20k more. Artificial intelligence moves faster than any other hiring market. New frameworks are open‑sourced overnight, venture capital floods specific niches without warning, & entire job titles—Prompt Engineer, LLM Ops Specialist—appear in the time it takes most industries to schedule a meeting. In that environment, salary guides published only a year ago already look like historical curiosities. To give AI professionals an up‑to‑the‑minute benchmark, ArtificialIntelligenceJobs.co.uk has built a simple yet powerful salary‑calculation formula. By combining three variables—role, UK region, & seniority—you can estimate a realistic 2025 salary band in less than a minute. This article explains that formula, unpacks the latest trends driving pay, & offers concrete steps to boost your personal market value over the next 90 days.
