  • Overseeing the activities of data scientists when needed, ensuring proper definition of their tasks, reviewing code, improve ways of working along with providing longer term technical mentorship and guidance
  • Facilitating optimal scaling and adoption of machine learning and generative AI, via effective AI systems design and development of reusable components for model training and evaluation.
  • Acting as a key technical leader in data science & AI and point of contact for specific Rightmove business domains
  • Influencing strategic decisions around Rightmove's AI offering, collaborating with senior management and key stakeholders in identifying and prioritising AI opportunities that drive value for Rightmove's consumers, partners and people
  • Exploring and promoting use of machine learning and generative AI across Rightmove's portfolio of applications and products
  • Providing expertise on statistical and mathematical concepts for the broader Data & Analytics Team

We're looking for someone who has

  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous business problems into high-impact ML solutions.
  • Experienced technical leader - mentors others, shares knowledge, and promotes best practices.
  • Excellent communicator, able to work cross-functionally and tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, ML frameworks (e.g. XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch), and cloud tools (GCP, BigQuery, Vertex AI).
  • Familiar with generative AI tools and frameworks (e.g. OpenAI, HuggingFace, LangChain).
  • Deeply curious, commercially minded, and impact-driven with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with a proactive, self-starter mindset.
