You’ll be working in a hybrid cloud environment (Azure, Databricks), applying your skills to real challenges in areas like customer behaviour, operations, and digital journeys. Enable Data-Driven Decisions : Develop dashboards and visual narratives using Power BI that translate data into insight business users can act on.
Work Closely With the Business : Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their goals and make sure analytics work is aligned to practical business needs.
Support Delivery at Pace : Take ownership of discrete workstreams within larger projects, ensuring timely, accurate, and business-relevant outputs.
Grow Your Impact : Learn and develop in a high-performing team with clear opportunities to increase your influence and responsibility over time.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
Experience working in analytics, data science, or a related function, with evidence of delivering results.
Proficiency in Python, SQL , and visualisation using open source libraries.
Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering answers , not just analysis.
Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-starter who thrives in fast-moving environments with a strong sense of ownership.
A numerate degree (e.g. Maths, Stats, Engineering, Computer Science).
Desirable:
Experience using Databricks or working in a cloud-based environment like Azure.
Exposure to MLOps, version control, or productionising models.
Experience working with Jira and Confluence in an Agile environment is advantageous.
Streamlit, Power BI or other standard BI software experience
Experience from outside the retail sector is welcome — we're open to transferable skills.
Why Join Asda Insight & Analytics?
Be part of a growing, high-visibility data team with a clear mandate for impact
Solve practical, varied business problems — not just build models for their own sake
