We are currently looking for a “Senior Data Scientist” to join a leading microbiome drug discovery company based in the Cambridge area. As the Senior Data Scientist, you will be responsible for driving the analysis and interpretation of complex biological datasets to support groundbreaking clinical trials and research initiatives.



**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

Your duties as the Senior Data Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Analyse association of large-scale biological datasets (metagenomics, transcriptomics etc) with clinical metadata, including data from clinical trials.

2. Identify, develop, and implement new analytical, statistical, and machine-learning methods to enhance and expand the informatics platform.

3. Provide statistical input into study designs and analysis plans for complex datasets, including clinical trials.

4. Offer analytical and statistical support across the company to various teams.



**ROLE REQUIREMENTS:**

To be successful in your application to this exciting position as the Senior Data Scientist, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in data science, bioinformatics, statistics, or a related discipline.

2. Proven industry experience in machine learning methods such as clustering, feature selection, dimension reduction, and tree-based models.

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with excellent communication and presentation skills.
