This is a new function at Kraken, tasked with better understanding our customer journey and lifecycle, transactional patterns, multi-product usage, buyer funnel, and retention/engagement attributes. The goal is to leverage advanced analytics to define geo-specific strategies.We are seeking an experienced analyst with a highly technical background for the Geo Intelligence portion of this function.The opportunityPerform portfolio analytics across all Kraken customers and their entire history of transactions. This includes defining hypotheses with business partners, identifying patterns and behaviours, recognizing opportunities, and pitching recommended profit-maximizing initiativesPerform advanced segmentation to arrive at optimal business strategies - this includes segmentation by behavior, preferences, etc and can be outputted into a product or geography specific strategyBuild advanced country level and portfolio level dashboards; these are likely to be 30+ pages but summarized for various executive stakeholdersParticipate in Test/Learn/Adapt initiatives and lead data workstreams in these experimentsPresent findings to executive audiences through complex reports and oral presentationsScale analytics capabilities so a team of other analysts and strategists can leverage data and analysis can be repeated in regular intervalsGrow the capability based on outcome; the objective for portfolio analytics is $1M in revenue opportunity proposed per week and additional revenue opportunities by geoSkills you should HODL 4+ years of direct experience in a data science discipline with expert level analytics experience at a large financial services institutionAdvanced data toolkit - at minimum is expert level at SQL, Python, and TableauAdvanced crypto knowledge including how crypto products work, crypto revenue models, and industry differences within a global customer baseCapability to query and analyze tens of millions of records, finding patterns and answering complex business questions via advanced analytical and statistical techniquesUtilize data to build highly dynamic data models, with multiples scenario and assumption-based simulation viewsAdvanced segmentation capability using multivariate behavioral analysisExperience working with multiple blockchains to source on-chain data and discover patterns and analysisStrong experience in portfolio analytics; ability to find business opportunity across multi-year transactional data for millions of clients, across 10+ products, and in context of dozens of other business variables impacting performanceCapability to lead a growing team and turn highly technical data findings into management business proposalsExperience working with and communicating findings to various other functions including product management and engineering, marketing, sales, and geo operations #LI-Remote #LI-GW1 #USCANBRUKEU This job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline.Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
