What you will be doing:
As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our software technology, assisting customers that are taking advantage of growing and evolving set of products in the cloud.  Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job.

Location:This position will be based in our London office.  The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the London office for the remaining days of the week.  


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for architecture, deployment, configuration, monitoring, management, technical issue resolution, bug identification, feature requests, general knowledge and proof of concepts.
  • Learn and use ground-breaking technologies across Nuix’s eDiscovery, Review, Intelligence, Risk and Security platforms
  • Apply automated deployments, advanced system administration, optimization and troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our SaaS environment.
  • Work hands-on with customers to engineer, deploy and run their SaaS instances running in our AWS environment.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS SQL operations and SQL query language
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server 2016/2019, MS Active Directory, MS IIS, and MS SQL 2016/2019.
  • Prior exposure to automation & orchestration tools as well as, release & deployment pipelines CI\CD
  • Exposure to Cloud Platforms, AWS (Preferable), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent cloud hosting platforms
  • Basic knowledge of microservices Docker, Kubernetes or relevant container services 
  • Ability to work in a global 24/7/365, multi-tiered production environment. 
  • Good systems/network troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose complex problems in timely fashion.
  • Ability to take ownership and coordination of technical issues, problems, or projects and see it through to completion. 
  • Demonstrated track record of system up-times, HA, DR planning, SLA management, Change Control workflows 
  • Other Necessary skills include flexibility, ability to work under tight deadlines, ability to handle multiple tasks through prioritization and time management skills, excellent communication, exceptional collaboration, and organizational skills.
Desirable:
  • Experienced with Linux system administration
  • Prior exposure to a hosted application (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) environment and relevant security standards 
  • Experience supporting ASP & ASP.NET applications to include troubleshooting, performance metrics & monitoring as well as familiarity with code deployments
  • Extensive experience supporting web-based and database centric applications. 
  • Experience with highly available technologies (failover clusters).
  • Scripting in any language, API integration and programming experience 
  • Knowledge of enterprise application technologies and architecture.
  • Vendor certifications or willingness to attain relevant certification
  • Understanding of OSI model, network devices and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of pipeline and config management tools (Jenkins, Ansible, AWX, Rundeck)
  • Ability to design, architect and implement solutions with sensitivity toward project timelines and budgets.
  • Demonstrated Project management and project delivery skills
