Join Our Team as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist – Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) Nurse
Location:Glasgow Royal infirmary
Hours:Full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary:Band 7 (46148 -52809] per annum, dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced nurse with a passion for delivering specialist care? Are you ready to lead and inspire a small team while making a real difference in the lives of patients? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Upper Gastrointestinal (GI) care.

About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert care for patients with upper GI conditions. You will be a highly skilled and autonomous practitioner, offering specialist advice, support, and guidance to patients, families, and healthcare professionals throughout the care pathway.

In this leadership role, you will:

  • Manage and lead a small, dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver advanced nursing care and develop individualized care plans.
  • Act as a resource and role model for evidence-based practice within the field of upper GI nursing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and holistic patient care.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
  • Provide education and mentorship to junior staff and students.

About You

We are looking for a confident, dynamic, and compassionate professional who:

  • Is a registered nurse with significant post-registration experience.
  • Holds or is working towards an advanced nursing qualification relevant to upper GI care.
  • Has proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrates excellent clinical knowledge and skills in upper GI nursing.
  • Is a strong communicator and team player, capable of inspiring and motivating others.
  • Has a proactive approach to service development and quality improvement.
