As Senior Bid Writer you will lead their bid and proposal efforts for public sector opportunities in the UK. This is a remote, flexible position suited to a self-sufficient, proactive individual who thrives in a distributed team environment. The Senior Bid Writer will be responsible for managing the entire bid process, from identifying new opportunities to crafting compelling responses for ITTs, PQQs, and pre-market engagement activities.


Senior Bid Writer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end bid writing process for public sector tenders, focusing on ITTs and PQQs within industries such as government, housing, education, and healthcare.
  • Research, identify, and qualify new bid opportunities that align with our services in data analytics, AI, and smart buildings.
  • Develop high-quality, persuasive content for bids and proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with technical experts and other team members to gather necessary information and insights for each proposal.
  • Manage timelines and deadlines effectively, ensuring timely submission of all proposals.
  • Conduct post-submission bid reviews and work on continuous improvement of our bid writing processes.
  • Engage in pre-market activities and build strong relationships with potential clients to better understand their needs.


Senior Bid Writer Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer, ideally at a mid-to-senior level.
  • Demonstrable success in writing winning bids for the UK public sector, particularly in areas like housing, education, or healthcare.
  • Knowledge of UK public sector procurement processes and regulations.
  • APMP certification is preferred but not essential.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with a focus on creating compelling narratives.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, with strong initiative and comfortable working independently in a fully remote, flexible team environment.

  • Fluent English who can work the core hours of 10.00-16.00 BST.
  • Passion for persuasive writing.
  • Willingness to adapt to fast changing priorities and learn new skills in a dynamic startup environment.
  • Open and respectful attitude to collaboration and knowledge-sharing in a cross-disciplinary team of experienced engineers and scientists.
