Our dedicated team of 600 RICS-accredited surveyors is making a significant impact, completing a property inspection every 12 seconds across the UK, from Land’s End to John O’Groats and throughout Northern Ireland.

Overview

We are actively seeking a Senior Applications Developer who will take charge of designing, developing, and testing innovative software solutions, including process automation, for e.surv and our valued clients. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Main Accountabilities:

Application Development:

  • With over 3 years of robust experience, I excel in developing applications using Python, Django, and ReactJS.

    Database Development:

    Experience in administering Microsoft SQL servers, PostgreSQL and other relational database management systems, maintenance plans, database user and security audit with a proven track record on how to achieve maximum database performance by analysing execution plans, indexes, query performance tuning and other SQL best practices.

    Web development:

  • Demonstrated and proven experience in web programming with the Django framework.

  • Proficient in using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to build web applications from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.

  • A solid understanding of how web applications function, including security, session management, and best development practices.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the OWASP framework and its principles, with consistent enforcement throughout all coding processes.

  • Take the initiative to create, maintain, and coordinate backup mechanisms that ensure business continuity while guaranteeing high levels of data availability, strictly in accordance with IT processes and procedures.

  • Take charge of the entire development lifecycle, from design and planning through to development, testing, and delivery.

  • Proactively maintain and update current applications, ensuring adherence to established change and release processes at all times.

  • Collaborate effectively with Business Analysts (BAs) to ensure that all solutions are fit for purpose and deliver the expected benefits.

  • Ensure that all code is thoroughly documented and actively share knowledge. Provide ongoing support for all code developed.

  • Deliver application support for all related applications without exception.

  • Create and maintain detailed application documentation to enhance usability and understanding.

  • Rigorously adhere to Quality Management guidelines as directed, in alignment with the framework of ISO 9001.

  • Prioritize your health and safety, as well as that of your colleagues, by complying with all legal and policy requirements.

  • Immediately bring any concerns regarding conflicting duties or areas of responsibility to your line manager’s attention.

    Knowledge, Expertise and Qualifications:

  • Proven expertise in programming languages and frameworks, including React, Python, Django, and HTML5.

  • Extensive knowledge of relational database management systems, particularly SQL.

  • Proficient in navigating and utilizing Linux and Windows command line interfaces. - Strong command of user interface design technologies.

  • Solid grounding in artificial intelligence, robotics, and computer vision.

  • In-depth understanding of linear and logistic regression algorithms.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and numerical communication skills.

  • Superior organizational abilities, with a strong capacity to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Advanced IT competencies, including mastery of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as hands-on experience with HR software and databases.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking initiative while strictly adhering to established guidelines and processes.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues at all levels.

  • Proven track record of handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

  • Comprehensive grasp of data integrity and security concepts across all development aspects.

  • Experience in an ITIL environment, demonstrating a commitment to best practices.

  • Strong understanding of software development processes (SDLC), ensuring quality and efficiency throughout the development lifecycle.
