About the role:

The Sales Manager is responsible for growing the Tax Software Sales product lines by identifying new sales opportunities through new and existing customer channels. 

This role is accountable for delivering sales across the Europe region of Thomson Reuters’ full line of Tax products for our Corporate customers. This role must foster collaboration across various Thomson Reuters and Corporates Segment Europe functional lines of business and regions to develop sales strategies and enable the methodology required to maximize sales across a broad customer base.

We are looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who is comfortable with risk, highly customer-driven, ability to define a strategy and drive focused execution.

This role requires a dynamic sales leader with a proven track record in sales management, and the ability to drive growth and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities include:

You will manage a sales team and oversee pipeline creation, lead generation, prospecting, and deal closing/execution. Includes participation on field sales calls, guidance on sales-related issues (pricing, proposals), mentoring, monitoring activity, ensuring administrative tasks are done timely, and other day-to-day field sales management activities. You will lead, coordinate and implement sales strategies to overachieve vs sales targets. This includes understanding company and customer financial objectives, participation in development of got to marketing strategies, and participation in development of performance coaching to ensure that field sales representatives are positioned to meet our objectives. You will communicate our value proposition, while continuing to develop and improve it and our overall "Go-to-Market Strategy" including events, webinars, conferences and direct outreach to new and exisiting customers Provide regular and detailed visibility into the management reporting including forecasting, account planning, sales pipeline, sales performance, and other related tasks needed to grow assigned business profitably Work closely with the marketing, product marketing, product development, pre-sales and customer support teams

About You:

To be our Sales Manager you will likely have/be:

A proven track record in sales with at least 3 years in a sales leadership role managing sales teams specifically within the complex, software solution sales environment, including significant experience meeting and exceeding sales/revenue goals. Experience dealing globally with FTSE 100 & Fortune 1000 level clients, globally Excellent client relationship management skills including influencing and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including at C-Level and Department Head. A problem solver with imagination to structure creative solutions in line with client needs A strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization Entrepreneurial and results driven approach; innovative, passionate, self-starter. Flexibility in adjusting to new, different and changing business requirements and decisions. Ability to successfully lead in a dynamic changing environment. Proven ability to lead senior sales teams and the specific demands of managing tenured and experienced people to drive a positive and team led culture Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage and track performance, and to accurately forecast deals
