As a Manager you will beresponsible for managing a portfolio of projects and for the timelydelivery of services. You will be expected to contribute towardmarketing and business development initiatives. You will beinvolved in a range of valuation and advisory engagements relatingto financial products (derivatives and cash based) across all assetclasses that will include both contentious and non-contentiousmatters. Such engagements will also include risk related matterssuch as the modelling of default risk and calculating expectedcredit losses (ECL). You will also be involved in other forms ofquantitative/statistical advisory projects. You will also assistwith the development of valuation models and modelling techniquesfor financial assets ranging from complex derivatives andstructured products to other hard to value instruments that arecomplex due to illiquidity or a lack of observable market datainputs. The position benefits from rigorous on-the-job trainingfrom senior team members with significant experience in investmentbanking and consulting. Opportunities for undertaking furtherfinancial (e.g., CFA, FRM) or quantitative (e.g., Provide effectiveproject management of valuation engagements from inception tocompletion. Provide effective intellectual input and challenge tosenior members of staff in the completion of projects withconceptual complications. Carry out relevant technical researchrelevant to a specific area of valuations or credit risk –disseminate key findings to the quantitative risk & valuationteam.  Prepare reports for advice to clients or solicitors orfor use in legal or regulatory proceedings. Identify and recognisebusiness and sales opportunities and inform the partner and clientas appropriate. Ensure that the firms risk management and clienttake-on procedures have appropriately been complied with. Maintaina network of professional and business contacts. Support Partner,Directors on ad hoc assignments as needed. Strong professionalinterest in the fields of retail and corporate credit risk,scorecard methods, internal ratings-based models, model validation,as well as UK and European regulatory standards underpinning theseareas. Significant credit risk experience gained ideally from amajor financial institution, another professional services firm, ora credit ratings agency. An interest in applying tools fromfinance, mathematics, and data science to provide pragmatic androbust solutions to real-world problems. Strong knowledge ofmathematics and statistics as applied to finance and credit risk.Hands on experience in credit risk modelling or the valuation offinancial products. A master’s degree in Finance, Economics,Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science from areputable university. Desirable previous credit risk modellingexperience or the building and / or validating credit risk modelsobtained from within a bank or a credit ratings agency. Someprogramming skills in a high-level language (e.g., Python, R,MATLAB, Excel VBA) and/or experience with econometric softwarepackages (e.g., STATA, SAS). we’ll recognise and value you for whoyou are and celebrate and reward your contributions to thebusiness.
