Meta Reality Labs focuses on delivering Meta's vision through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The XR Core AI Research team within the Reality Labs org brings together a world class team of researchers working on a range of problems in 3D Computer Vision and Generative AI for AR and VR. We are seeking exceptional interns with a background in 3D Computer Vision to join our team. We are specifically looking for candidates to work in areas such as 3D Texture and Shape Generation, Stylization and Neural View Synthesis. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long.

Research Scientist Intern, 3D Computer Vision and Generative AI (PhD) Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop novel Deep Learning based methods in the area of 3D Generative AI for Texture and Shape Synthesis and Stylization and Neural View Synthesis
  • Present the outcomes of research findings as papers in top tier conferences in the area of CV and Graphics

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
  • 2+ years of research experience in Generative AI, Neural View Synthesis, Face Reconstruction, etc
  • Programming experience in Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship
  • Proven track record in publishing papers in Machine Learning and/or Computer Vision conferences including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, ICLR, TVCG, SIGGRAPH
  • Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration
