The Product team uses creativity, insights, and operational excellence to steer our product vision across Snap Inc. This team of designers, scientists, and product managers work in a highly collaborative environment to build the products and experiences that bring our community together in new and special ways.

We’re looking for a Research & Insights Lead to join a multi-functional team. As a member of the team, you will work on thought leadership projects, First Party audience insights, custom analyses, ads measurement, and joint learning plans to craft insights narratives and provide prescriptive guidance as to how advertisers can drive effective and efficient ads performance on Snapchat.

Snap’s Research & Insights Leads work collaboratively across sales, business marketing, product, data science, and product marketing to drive adoption of the most important and performant ad-buying, insights, and measurement tools Snapchat has to offer.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with senior members of the team to manage flawless execution of best-in-class research and industry thought leadership (scoping, RFP, questionnaire development, data checks, analysis, story development, presentation)
  • Work with cross functional partners both internally and externally on go-to-market for the research
  • Communicate complex audience and ads research results to internal and external audiences (research partners, agencies, internal stakeholders), through co-development of written decks or blogs and presentations
  • Work closely with Client partners, Ad Product, Measurement Product, Data Science, and RnD teams to evaluate, position, and serve as a trusted consultant for insights workstreams
  • Explore hypothesis using first party data related to causal and observational measurement frameworks
  • Identify novel techniques for data analysis, questioning and visualizing and in some cases, innovative partners to work with
  • Present your work to audiences of all levels across the organization internally and also externally

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to structure and conduct analyses to generate insight and recommendations
  • Clear and concise communication; comfortable with presenting insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in executing any measurement solutions including brand and conversion lift, Basic understanding of applied statistics including sampling approaches, causal modeling, time series analysis, and data-mining techniques
  • Exposure to media planning and measurement is a plus
  • A solid understanding of Snapchat and the digital advertising and measurement ecosystem
  • Interest in advanced analytics, data interrogation and storytelling

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or business field or economics or mathematics or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with first party audience and consumer or ads insights research at a leading ad platform, agency, or research firm
  • Intermediate SQL experience or knowledge - Ability to write queries, extract data and analyze extracted data set
  • Experience with executing research including questionnaire development, analysis and supporting development of thought leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in business, psychology, sociology or a related field
  • Extensive experience with consumer and audience research, ads research
  • Experience working with media agencies is a plus
  • Passion for the Snapchat platform and interest in emerging AR technologies!
