About the role

We are looking for a post-doctoral research fellow with experience analysing large genomics and/or neuroscience datasets in the field of mental health. Appointment details:
• The post is graded on the non-clinical research staff Pay Scale Grade 7 or grade 8, which, including London Allowance, ranges from £45, to £52, (for grade 7) or £54, to £64, (for grade 8).
• The appointment is available from 20th August and is funded for 1 year in the first instance, with potential renewal for another year.
• Any offer of employment will be subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as required for the role.

About you

The post holder will be responsible for the analysis of large clinical research datasets. We have a study genomics and pharmacogenomics in severe mental disorders. We study biomarkers, primarily obtained from the EEG or cognitive tests, to investigate psychosis risk and genetic influences on response to psychotropic medications. The post holder will have analytical experience in some of these key relevant areas: Genetics, pharmacogenetics, bioinformatics, genetic epidemiology, neurophysiology, cognition or another relevant field within neuroscience and mental health.
