The research priorities of CAMO-Net UK are centred around the integrating strengths in technology, innovation, bioinformatics, epidemiology, data science and the application of AI. These priorities have been informed by existing evidence and expertise, and through collaborative discussions with National Hub Leads and baseline quantitative and qualitative data which we have generated through established work and capacity building
The post is funded by the Wellcome Trust to address the optimisation of antimicrobial therapy and combat the rise of AMR as part of a significant investment supporting theCentres for Antimicrobial Optimisation Network (CAMO-Net);a global network for research and capacity strengthening on optimising antimicrobial use
You will plan, lead and carry out their own high-quality programme of research within this context, undertaking work which addresses drivers of AMR at theindividual patient level. You will lead work on the use of innovative point-of-care technologies for real-time therapeutic drug monitoring and host biomarker monitoring, with a focus on clinical decision support. In addition, you will be expected to submit publications to refereed journals and to attract external research funding.
