RAC have an exciting opportunity within our dynamic Consumer Roadside Pricing Team based at our Bristol office. We are currently for an experiencedPricing Managerwith strong analytical & problem-solving skills to join on a permanent basis.

You will have an in-depth understanding of the process building, maintaining and improving models ideally within General Insurance pricing and have strong experience of delivering complex programmes at a senior level.

This role will be delivered on aflexible hybrid model - with 2 days a month working from the Bradley Stoke office

What Youll Do

Youll influence and constructively challenge at Senior & Executive organisational levels, providing oversight to delivery and growth plans to challenge the norm where required and ensure executional excellence and best in class practise. Youll also be asked to do the following.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of how to use data science and machine learning techniques and AI to drive improvements in model performance (an interest in and a desire to be exposed to these will also be considered).
  • Evidence experiences of using the insight gained from predictive modelling to drive business value.
  • Show excellent communication, with experience of effectively explaining modelling approaches and model outputs to non-technical audiences.
  • Be Inquisitive and have a willingness to become a subject matter expert in an area that is similar but also different to other general insurance products.
  • Be a critical thinker and have enthusiasm for independent thought, challenging established practices where necessary to ensure model performance is as effective as possible.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast paced, demanding but also rewarding environment.
  • Have a passion for building and leading a pricing team.

What Youll Need...

Were looking for a skilled analytical thinker with the ability to handle competing priorities, complex dynamics and exercise judgement in the development and implementation of strategic plans. Youll also need strong experience of delivering complex programmes at a senior level. Youll also possess the following;

  • Extensive pricing experience and demonstrable expertise in relevant field (such as,Insurance, Banking etc.).
  • Excellent technical knowledge of pricing and analytical techniques.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Experience of statistical modelling software (e.g. Emblem, R, python) advantageous, but not required.
  • Experience of optimisation software (e.g. Radar optimiser, Earnix) advantageous, but again not required.
  • Strong delivery and leadership experience with exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with a demonstrable ability to build relationships based on credibility and trust with Exec, regulators and Group-wide stakeholders at all levels.
