Job Title: QHSE Advisor

Reporting To:QHSE Manager

Location: Aberdeen - Hybrid 2+ days in office per week

Salary:Highly competitive

The QHSE Advisor is a key member of the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Team, reporting functionally to the QHSE Manager and operationally to the Project Manager(s).

This role is primarily responsible for providing specialist support to project and tendering teams by ensuring that QHSE activities are effectively integrated and managed.

The QHSE Advisor will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of QHSE excellence in all project related activities and across the business.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

Beam is an exciting and dynamic environment meaning these are likely to change as we grow. Upon joining your objectives and responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with project and tendering teams to integrate QHSE requirements into project plans and tender submissions.
  • Conduct QHSE risk assessments for specific projects and tenders, identifying potential hazards and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Assist in the development of QHSE plans and strategies tailored to each project's unique requirements.
  • Stay current with QHSE legislation and regulatory frameworks applicable to specific projects and markets.
  • Ensure that project and tender activities align with local legislative and regulatory requirements. 
  • Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to develop and deliver project-specific QHSE training programs.
  • Conduct awareness sessions to educate project teams on QHSE best practices.
  • Ensure that project personnel have the required QHSE training, certifications, and qualifications.
  • Support the investigation and reporting of QHSE-related events (incidents, accidents, nonconformances) on projects.

We know it’s tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap. You don’t have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role:

  • QHSE related qualification (eg: NEBOSH, NVQ, MSc) required
  • Audit qualification (lead auditor advantageous) and audit experience
  • Previous experience in QHSE management, with a focus on offshore projects or construction-related activities 
  • Good working knowledge of UK/EU HSE legislation, regulations and best practices 
  • Incident Investigation qualification and / or experience leading / conducting incident investigations 
  • Ability to design & deliver effective training

  • Membership of a professional body (eg: IOSH, IEMA, CQI) preferable
