What youll be doing
  • Working closely with our crossfunctional squads to embed more rigorous testing processes into their existing agile workflows.
  • Working with engineering teams to identify the metrics and data that should be measured and tracked to enable continuous improvement of the quality of the Cleo app
  • Validating and logging detailed bug reports from user reported defects (for example via app store reviews) including priority and squad ownership
  • Performing regular regression testing on the Cleo reactnative application and prioritise and assign bugs found
  • Work with engineers to develop an automated end to end testing solution for the Cleo app to enable testing of our core user journeys in our continuous integration pipeline
Our Tech Stack

Cleo is built as a Ruby on Rails monolith with a single React Native app frontend utilising TypeScript. We also leverage Python for machine learning services and PostgreSQL for our database all hosted on AWS. Our CI/CD pipeline is fully automated with production deployments happening on every merge via Heroku. Our backend engineers deploy multiple times a week and we release our frontend app to Google and Apple for review at least once a week.

While we take a pragmatic approach we place a strong emphasis on quality. Our code is peerreviewed and we maintain automated testing using Minitest and CircleCI. Were also actively working towards a more modular architecture focusing on separating concerns to achieve all the benefits of microservices within a monolith while progressively refactoring our code as we build new features. Everyone in the engineering team contributes to driving our technical strategy voices & ideas from all levels are valued: we are all owners at Cleo.

About You
  • 3 years of experience in QA or software testing roles (ideally in high growth scaling businesses)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good experience of working in crossfunctional agile squads
  • Experience of testing a reactnative mobile application
  • Experience of developing automated end to end test suites in a modern mobile or web application
  • Experience in utilising data and analytics to track the impact of quality on business level metrics and KPIs
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment in particular CircleCI

Nice to Haves

  • Have worked in a QA role at a fintech company
  • Experience with or knowledge of AIBased Testing would be ideal!

Why 99 of our users are based in the US where financial health is often overlooked.
