£35 per hour PAYE or £45.34 per hour limited paid via Umbrella company inside IR35

Our client is looking for an experienced Public Realm Insight and Intelligence Manager.

The postholder will predominantly over to Street Environment Services in order to support the data and analysis aspect of the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) funded ‘Effective and Efficient’ project and aspects of the Simpler Recycling rollout.

The role will also lead the division’s work on the potential of AI and machine learning to find ways to automate service delivery, improve processing and explore use in stand alone projects such as route optimisation, with a view to future efficiencies, savings and putting the division on a more sustainable footing.

Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of information governance and data security best practice, rules and regulations

• Significant knowledge and understanding of data storage and management, able to problem-solve issues and challenges with business systems

Aptitude

• Is ambitious and motivated, able to inspire others, lead a team, work collaboratively and deliver outstanding results

• Able to demonstrate successful management of projects

• Ability and interpersonal skills to work in a pressurised environment

• Ability to foster and build positive stakeholder relationships, including with Public Health, and TfL

Skills

• In depth understanding of the role of the local authority, including its statutory requirements

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse problems and identify creative realistic solutions

• Ability to develop an insight and intelligence agenda in collaboration with senior managers

• Ability to design services that ensure the delivery of desirable outcomes

• Ability to manage resources, mitigate risks and prioritise to achieve tight deadlines

Experience

• Substantial experience of leading business intelligence within the public sector

• Excellent experience of providing insight to drive data driven decision making and resource allocation

• Significant experience of presenting strategic reports on complex issues and providing expert advice direct to corporate management and Members

• Substantial experience of data visualisation platforms such as MS Power BI

• Significant experience of data science and experience of handling big data

• Substantial experience of quality management, auditing and continuous improvement mechanisms
