C++ Software Engineer

As a UX/UI Designer at Synechron, you will take part in internal project kick-off meetings to understand the business needs, brand, users/customers, and gather all creative requirements from clients or Synechron stakeholders. You will work with technology and creative leads to map out the user journey and website/application architecture that will lay the foundations for a successful digital platform.

This role will work specifically on an exciting project creating a market-leading “To Be” platform design before working with development teams to turn these designs into a live system. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work with the client’s business teams as well as Synechron and client technology teams in an Agile approach.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement design strategies that align with business goals
  • Advocate for user-centered design approaches across the organisation
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define design vision and strategy

Project Management

  • Oversee multiple design projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs
  • Manage design resources and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Conduct regular design reviews and provide constructive feedback

User Research & Testing

  • Lead user research initiatives to understand user needs and behaviors
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions and interpret results

Design Execution

  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with brand guidelines and accessibility standards
  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate best practices into the design process
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including development, marketing, and sales
  • Communicate design concepts and specifications clearly to stakeholders
  • Participate in product roadmap planning and prioritization

Job Requirements

  • 2-5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of delivering successful digital products and experiences
  • Extensive hands-on experience leading UX research in a product design environment across the Design Thinking stages
  • Experience with Gen AI a bonus
  • Self-starter with the ability to define goals and strategies
  • Experience designing internal products and tools
  • Significant experience working with senior stakeholders and engineers
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
  • Expertise in design and prototyping in Figma
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems
  • Creative problem solver comfortable dealing with uncertainty
  • Ability to lead workshops relating to UX Research both in-person & remote
  • Create strong UI prototypes and high-fidelity designs showcased in a portfolio
  • Proactive and positive attitude, with strong attention to detail & analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of UX/UI design projects

Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies

  • Experience with agile methodology
  • Experience working in a fintech or Insurance industry
  • Bachelor’s/University degree
