The successful Candidate requires the ability to either Design, Build or Modify Xerography Printing equipment.

This is a Hardware Development role where the objective is creating ‘proof of concept’ with a working prototype being the final objective.

The Client is at the start of the project,(about 10% there), and it will be the job of the successful Candidate to turn the theory into a reality.

A background in delivering the development of electro-mechanical products for Xerography Printing equipment is specifically advantageous.

This exciting role is best suited to a Development Engineer with experience in an electro-mechanical development environment providing support to resolve technical engineering issues on a prototype product throughout the development lifecycle.

Main function of the role

The aim of the Engineer is to develop a working prototype using off-the-shelf dry printing process and apply it to battery production using design, manufacture, characterisation and data science.

Carry out DFM and general design reviews

Document assembly build instructions on prototype products highlighting needs for improvement and providing recommendations so that the products are suitable for manufacture.

Facilitate product design, development and ease of manufacture.

Continuous Improvement driven engineering that consistently meets the stated goals of quality, cost, and delivery.

This role requires someone with a bachelor/masters degree in Materials Science, Chemical or Manufacturing engineering (or closely related) discipline.
