We are seeking a highly skilled andexperienced Data Science Consultant to join our team. The idealcandidate will have a strong background in data science, analytics,IT consulting, and domain expertise in financial services. As aData Science Consultant, you will work closely with clients tounderstand their business challenges, design and implementdata-driven solutions, and provide actionable insights that drivebusiness value. Your ability to address challenges specific tofinancial services, such as risk modeling, fraud detection, andregulatory compliance, will be a critical asset. #LI-DNIResponsibilities * Support financial services clients with thedefinition and implementation of their AI strategy, focusing onareas such as risk management, customer analytics and operationalefficiency * Implement and oversee AI governance frameworks, withan emphasis on regulatory compliance (e.g., Basel III, GDPR) andethical AI principles * Ideate, design and implement AI-enabledsolutions for financial services use cases, such as credit scoring,fraud detection, customer segmentation and predictive modeling *Lead the process of taking AI/ML models from development toproduction, ensuring robust MLOps practices tailored to financialdata environments * Monitor and manage model performance, includingaddressing issues related to explainability, data drift and modeldrift in financial models * Collaborate with risk, compliance andlegal teams to navigate financial regulations and ensure modelsmeet stringent industry standards * Engage with senior executives,effectively communicating AI opportunities, risks and strategies inaccessible terms, particularly in the financial services context *Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emergingtechnologies and regulatory changes impacting AI/ML in financialservices * Support pre-sales activities, including clientpresentations, demos and RFP/RFI responses tailored to financialservices prospects Requirements * Bachelors or Masters degree inData Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance,Economics or a related field * 5+ years of experience in datascience, analytics or related roles within the financial servicesindustry or IT consulting for financial institutions * Strongcommunication skills, comfortable presenting to senior businessleaders in banking, insurance or investment firms * Provenexperience in financial services data science projects, such ascredit risk modeling, anti-money laundering (AML) systems oralgorithmic trading models * Familiarity with key financialindustry regulations, such as Basel III, Solvency II, MiFID II orthe EU AI regulatory framework * Deep understanding of LLMs andtheir application in areas like financial document analysis,customer service chatbots or regulatory reporting * Expertise infraud detection techniques, anomaly detection and complianceanalytics * Strong understanding of ML Ops principles andexperience in deploying and managing AI/ML models in financialsystems * Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML toolsand platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, MLFlow, Airflowand financial-specific platforms like Bloomberg Terminal, SAS, orMATLAB * Experience with structured and unstructured financialdata, including time-series analysis, market data and transactionaldata * Ability to articulate complex AI risks and strategies tonon-technical stakeholders, including senior executives in bankingand insurance Nice to have * Ph.D. in Data Science, ComputerScience, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics or a relatedfield * Expertise in stress testing models, scenario analysis andportfolio optimization We offer * EPAM Employee Stock Purchase Plan(ESPP) * Protection benefits including life assurance, incomeprotection and critical illness cover * Private medical insuranceand dental care * Employee Assistance Program * Competitive grouppension plan * Cyclescheme, Techscheme and season ticket loans *Various perks such as free Wednesday lunch in-office, on-sitemassages and regular social events * Learning and developmentopportunities including in-house training and coaching,professional certifications, over 22,000 courses on LinkedInLearning Solutions and much more * If otherwise eligible,participation in the discretionary annual bonus program * Ifotherwise eligible and hired into a qualifying level, participationin the discretionary Long-Term Incentive (LTI) Program * *Allbenefits and perks are subject to certain eligibility requirementsJ-18808-Ljbffr
