Job description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our team focused on providing cutting-edge solutions for grid management, distributed intelligence, and energy market optimization. The core focus for the short term will lie on the UK-market current initiatives(ADS MHHS), expanding out into the wider EMEA region midterm.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the utility market, with a strong focus on utility primary business processes, metering, and data, grid management/distributed intelligence, and trends. This role requires a thorough understanding of grid management, distributed intelligence, and energy management, enabling our clients to optimize operations and drive innovation.
Main responsibilities

  • Lead strategic consulting engagements with utility clients, focusing on primary business processes, market trends, meter data management, and grid management strategies.
  • Develop and implement business strategies that leverage distributed intelligence, distributed grid management, and distributed energy management to enhance grid performance and operational efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice on industry best practices, regulatory compliance, and technological advancements.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the utility sector.
  • Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on market data, regulatory changes, and technological developments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and presentations to engage clients and enhance their understanding of grid management and distributed energy management.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, and IT, to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Ensure all consulting engagements comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and support clients in achieving compliance.
  • Support Itron in industry forums and regional market programs.
  • Publish thought leadership articles, whitepapers, and case studies to establish Itron as an industry leader.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, seminars, and events.

Required profile:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or Ph.D. is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in the utility sector, with a focus on business consulting, grid management, distributed grid management, and distributed energy management.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex consulting projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of utility market dynamics, regulatory environment, and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CMC) are a plus.
