Job Summary:

The

Principal, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Engineer

will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of security strategies for our artificial intelligence (AI) systems. In this role, you will design and deploy robust security measures to protect AI models, data, and infrastructure from cyber threats, adversarial attacks, and vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with AI researchers, software engineers, and security teams to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of AI-driven solutions.
Position Overview
Siemens Software (DI SW) is looking for a highly skilled and experienced leader reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The

Principal, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Security Engineer

will play a critical leadership role in developing and implementing security frameworks for AI models, algorithms, and datasets.
Key Responsibilities
Establish an AI Security community across all applicable Siemens business segments including the designation of AI Security Officers.

Partner with Legal, Data Privacy and Compliance to stay up to date on global regulations.

Develop and implement security frameworks for AI models, algorithms, and datasets.

Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for AI systems to mitigate potential vulnerabilities.

Design and enforce policies for secure AI development, deployment, and maintenance.

Lead research and innovation in adversarial attack detection and AI security defenses.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into AI applications.

Analyze AI security incidents, conduct forensic investigations, and implement protective measures.

Develop tools to monitor AI security risks and detect anomalies in model behavior.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards for AI governance.

Mentor and train engineers in AI security principles and best practices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI, or related field.

8+ years

of experience in

cybersecurity, with expertise in AI security

.

Deep understanding of

machine learning, neural networks, and adversarial attacks

.

Proficiency in

cryptographic techniques and secure AI model development

.

Strong experience with

penetration testing, threat intelligence, and security auditing

.

Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST AI Risk Management and Secure AI development guidelines.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in high-stakes security environments.

Strong communication and leadership skills to guide security initiatives across teams.

Transform the Everyday
The salary range for this position is $177,000 to $318,600 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
