Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk)

Pricing Manager and Principle Pricing Analyst

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for multiple graduate opportunities across our Pricing team. It’s a hugely exciting time to join us as we have recently delivered a huge transformation programme and continue to strive to be a market leading, data driven and digital business. If you have a mathematical mindset, outstanding statistical and analytical skills, love to get into the detail of things and can use data to tell a story, we want to hear from you!

Graduate Pricing Analyst

Being a part of the Pricing department means you will actively support us in delivering changes to prices and underwriting criteria across esure’s motor and home insurance products. You will assist in delivering pricing initiatives that really make our pricing and rating capabilities market leading. You will learn how to use marketing leading insurance software including Radar and Emblem whilst also building upon your statistical software skills by using software such as SAS and Python.

Read below to find out what our Head of Portfolio Pricing, Draganco Trpcevski, has to say about our graduate opportunities in the Pricing team:

“ By joining the pricing team at esure you'll be at the heart of some of the key decision making within the company, giving you a great opportunity to effect change. Depending on your appetite you could get stuck into risk premium modelling (e.g. the likelihood of a customer claiming) using industry leading software and data science techniques. Alternatively help support and design our portfolio level pricing strategies (where should we grow, what does future profitability look like and its sensitivities to key assumptions about the future). Or you could work with people across the company to create new propositions for us to take to market.

There's also no reason why you can't do all of the above as we support rotations around the team to support your development into a future pricing leader!”

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

  • A degree in a mathematical / statistical subject and someone who wants to kick start their career in the Pricing space.
  • A curiosity for data with phenomenal statistical and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding mathematical and numeracy skills.
  • Strong intermediate Excel skills with the ability to manipulate, clean and present data.
  • Knowledge of statistical software such as SAS, SQL or Python is advantageous
  • Logical approach to problem solving, attention to detail and great organisation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts in an accessible way for non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for continuous learning.
