About the role

The post is funded to develop and apply machine learning models to use in pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs). This leverages a unique dataset for the largest population of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices in the UK, advanced modelling and outcomes from population based registries.
The post is funded through an academic research grant awarded to UCL, from the British Heart Foundation, for 24-months, full-time equivalent.

About you

• To undertake a post-doctoral research project developing machine learning models for cardiac electrophysiology.
• Develop and curate a complex time series dataset including data labelling strategies.
• Create and maintain Python-based (or similar) tools, workflows for data integration, model simulation, and analysis.
• Work closely with clinicians to align comutational findings with clinical outcomes.
