About OmniGOV OmniGov is a specialist division created to handle UK Government media buying, the largest advertiser in the UK, and a top 10 UK agency in its own right, handling over 80 very different government departments. We were originally awarded the four year contract in 2018 and late 2021 we became the first agency ever to retain the business for the next 4 years. OmniGov’s Communication’s Intelligence team are searching for a Junior Data Analyst to join the team and help provide best in class data analysis and marketing effectiveness solutions for Omnigov, private sector clients and media agencies within OMG. Uniquely in OmniGOV, the strategic analytics team within the wider Communications Intelligence group runs consultancy and MMM projects with commercial clients, as well as delivering cross-government campaign analysis to OmniGOV and HM Government. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our ongoing quest for understanding and insights. You’ll contribute to building and maintaining our essential Government benchmark database and knowledge system. Your responsibilities will include sophisticated data analysis, methodology evolution, and generating reports for key categories and brands. Additionally, you’ll create visualisations and automate processes related to Government files and databases. Responsibilities Collaborate with a Manager to add new data to the Government benchmark databases managed by Omnigov. Quality checks and data loading using tools like R, Python, and Power BI. Compile, edit, and summarize information for the system (e.G., results reports, research papers). Analyse data to establish norms and averages, interpreting findings. Contribute to Data Science and Strategic Analytics projects Explore innovative ways to automate data input using R or Python skills. Cultivate day-to-day relationships with users of the knowledge system within agencies and OmniGOV’s Government databases Provide excellent service levels to agencies working with analysts and managers Support the team in consultancy engagements with Government clients Update and build comprehensive datasets for agency pitch analysis from the knowledge database content Deliver high-quality visualisations About You Interested in brands, government and the role of media/ mass communication Strong analytic capabilities Coding experience (R or Python preference) Advanced Excel Skills Strong attention to detail Good written communication skills Organised & strong critical thinking Willingness to learn, energetic, determined, proactive and curious We want everyone to make the most of the opportunity to shine and showcase your talents and we are happy to make adjustments in the recruitment process so you can be your best.
