Salary:£50 000- £65 000 + benefits + Travel expense coverage

We are looking for a driven Carbon focused Originator to source, evaluate, and originate new carbon and BESS optimisation deals.


Our client is extremely focused on growth and offers a lot of potential for career advancement within the team.


In this role, you will be responsible for:


  • Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities through relationship-building with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Establishing a profit center focused on carbon and emissions trading, encompassing trading activities, risk management, and commercial strategy.
  • Assessing and securing new BESS and SaaS deals, ensuring compliance with company standards and risk guidelines.
  • Creating and delivering comprehensive proposals and reports to senior management.
  • Overseeing the tender process for front-of-the-meter assets, ensuring prompt and high-quality submissions.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with clients to secure agreements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, such as data science, legal, compliance, trading, and operations, to ensure smooth transaction processing.
  • Keeping and maintaining a strong pipeline of potential deals.
  • Participating in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to represent the company and grow business connections.
