Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented Optical Systems Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge head-up and head-mounted display systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing advanced optical solutions, from simulation to real-world deployment, with a focus on delivering unparalleled user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects focused on AR head-up display (HUD) innovations.

  • Design and implement novel virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays using Zemax, delivering a revolutionary ‘focus-free’ visual experience.

  • Spearhead technical demonstrations for investors, articulating the impact and potential of the technology.

  • Apply advanced machine learning techniques in Python to correct optical aberrations and optimize system performance.

  • Collaborate on the development and filing of patent applications.

  • Integrate Zemax designs with mechanical CAD software (e.g., CATIA) to ensure optical-mechanical compatibility.

  • Characterize, optimize, and implement optical coatings within simulation and hardware systems.

    Qualifications:

  • Degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).

  • Proven experience in optical system design using Zemax.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, especially in the context of image processing or ML-based optimization.

  • Familiarity with mechanical CAD tools such as CATIA and optical-mechanical integration workflows.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate, with experience in patent development a strong plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and experience presenting complex technologies to stakeholders.

  • Hands-on experience with polarisation, diffraction analysis, and coating characterization is highly desirable.
