This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical,inquisitive, numerate and literate communicant to share its OilProducts expertise in a fast-moving and politically significantglobal energy market. In Argus, Oil Products includesTransportation fuels, Base Oil, Bitumen and Biofuels. Your rolewill include engaging with prospects and many internalstakeholders, bringing on one side your market expertise to supportthe sales process and on the other side your market feedback tointernal stakeholders. You will enjoy collaborative work withcolleagues from a range of backgrounds, many located in Argus’other offices around the globe. What we’re looking for in you -Work effectively across the organization with key stakeholders,this will include aligning with Sales around cross-sell and up-selland focus on selling with a retention focus; align with product andbusiness development about driving product roadmap and align withmarketing around driving marketing activities to existingsubscribers. - Identify, evaluate, and execute new businessopportunities relating to new price assessments, new products, andimprovements to the existing product line. - Ensure optimumactivity levels are delivered as well as meeting Service LevelAgreement targets. - Educate clients on how to maximize the valuethey receive from a relationship with Argus Media. - Be arepresentation of Argus to our clients, engaging them from thestart of the commercial relationship through client visits,energetic feedback, and focusing heavily on client satisfaction. -Provide excellent customer experience to Argus customers fromsmooth on-boarding to resolving queries within the desired servicelevel agreement. - Utilise the CRM, to track accounts throughouttheir subscription lifecycle, analyse client usage trends andidentify tactics to drive growth and protect revenues. - Accuratelymaintain customer, user records and client engagement activityefficiently. - Participate in client engagement initiatives toincrease client retention and account penetration. - Travel asrequired within the region. - Gather competitor intelligence. - Bethe client advocate when Argus is designing new products, engagingtheir feedback and voice to help shape changes to Argus productsand launches of new offerings. - Attend and coordinate marketingpresence at relevant industry conferences/events and dedicatedclient events to increase awareness of Argus platforms and content.Key Responsibilities Understanding customers - By understanding thethemes in the markets, a range of industry types and customerpersonas and how they operate in their markets, you’ll know thechallenges they face and can help shape the go-to-market approachso sellers can deliver compelling value propositions and winbusiness. - You’ll be joining face-to-face meetings and calls withcustomers and prospects, supporting sellers and bringing yourinsight to the table. - As a sector specialist, you’ll use a rangeof industry conferences and events to gather insight and networkwith customers. Collaborating as part of the global team - You’llbe coaching new hires, helping them to understand the customers andmarkets they’re selling into, as well as supporting experiencedsellers with your deep knowledge of Argus solutions and how theyfit market needs. - Communication and collaboration is key in thisrole. You will be the bridge between internal teams. For example,you’ll ensure customer and competitor feedback is gained andshared; you’ll work on product launches and reviews to shape thego-to-market strategy; and you’ll develop regional sector salesstrategies alongside regional leadership teams. Executingcommercial strategy - Through partnerships with a team of accountmanagers in a range of global locations, you’ll ensure the rightopportunities are identified, sized, and prioritised, beforeworking alongside the sales team as needed to secure the business.- By working closely with business development and editorial teams,you’ll be a strong voice on how best to drive growth in keygeographic and industry segments, and converting theseopportunities to actionable plans for sales and marketing.Delivering results - This is a commercial role so naturally therewill be sales targets to hit, which you’ll achieve through yourefforts supporting the sales team and working with a range ofinternal stakeholders. Your customer and market insight will drivesuccessful product launches, measured in opportunity creation,conversion, and effective feedback into the product team to ensurevalue propositions are strong and resonate with customers. Skillsand Experience - 10 years’+ experience in sales, preferably B2Binformation/data. - Market experience in Marine Fuels, Base oil andBitumen, especially on commercial dealings. - Superb communicator,one-to-one and with groups, at all seniority levels. - Pro-active,agile and able to work at pace. - Comfortable reviewing data toidentify trends, opportunities and challenges. - Strongorganisational and project management skills. - Able to workeffectively in a matrix organisation, using influencing andengaging colleagues to achieve your objectives. - Willingness towork from our HQ at least 3 days a week.
