Join us on ourexciting journey. The role The Mewburn Ellis Engineering and ICTPractice Group is growing and looking for an ArtificialIntelligence / Machine Learning specialist to join the team. Thisnew position will allow you to work with a number of clients at thecutting edge of this ever-expanding field. The role can be based atany of our UK offices and will involve working closely with anumber of Partners, fellow Associates as well as Trainees and IPSSspecialists. A role here means access to a diverse client base fromthe get-go but with the scope and requirement to build the clientbase further. We offer a wide range of high-quality work withparticular focus on drafting along with prosecution, oppositionwork, freedom to operate and opinion work. It will be highlycommercial, involving work with clients all over the world onportfolios of various size from start-up to multinationalcompanies, where there is typically a strong leaning on us to driveIP strategy in this field. About you An enquiring, solution-orientatedmind and a high-quality focus are a few traits we look for andyou’ll have at least two years in the Intellectual Propertyprofession. We can consider candidates with a formal qualificationin a variety of backgrounds such as maths, physics, computerscience so long as there has been a significant formal component inAI or ML or even an AI/ML certificate attained separately to theSTEM degree. Another route could be some solid AI/ML specificindustry experience. The level, depth and split of academic andworking patent knowledge will depend on the level at which you joinbut we are open to discussing this on an individual basis. Inaddition to the technical side, you’ll possess the ability andexperience to work independently, to manage projects and workflows,and to contribute to BD efforts in the field.
