Job Details

In this role you will collaborate across the Profiles team to develop revenue from new clients primarily focusing on the UK market. Handling sales outreach prospecting qualifying leads and closing deals. The successful candidate will show strong sales prowess meeting targets and excellent communication/negotiation skills.

What youll do
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:Proactively identify potential new research agencies in the UK through various channels including cold calling networking events online research and referrals. Conduct detailed research to understand prospect needs and tailor sales pitches accordingly.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations to potential clients. Highlight the value proposition and outstanding selling points of Profiles products or services addressing client needs and positioning solutions as valuable business investments.
  • Relationship Building:Cultivate positive relationships with key decisionmakers and influencers within target organisations. Understand client requirements show dedication and demonstrate the companys outstanding value.
  • Identify New Revenue Opportunities: Develop new revenue streams or channels with existing clients working closely with wider commercial teams for example Key Accounts and Client Success.
  • Sales Pipeline Management:Maintain accurate and uptodate records of sales activities opportunities and client interactions using CRM software. Continuously monitor and manage the sales pipeline providing regular reports on sales performance and forecasts.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis:Stay informed about industry trends market developments and competitors offerings. Use this knowledge to see opportunities and develop competitive sales strategies.
  • Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate with internal teams including marketing product development and client success to provide client feedback and contribute to the overall growth strategy. Communicate effectively with team members and management sharing insights challenges and successes.

The skills and experience needed as a New Business Director:

  • Proven sales experience with a focus on new business acquisition winning new clients and revenue growth in market research.
  • Ability to develop and complete comprehensive sales strategies to win new clients.
  • Effective prospecting and lead generation abilities.
  • Capability to independently manage the endtoend sales process for new business deals.
  • Competence in building and maintaining relationships with prospects and key decisionmakers.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with clients.
  • Strong sales negotiation and deal closing skills; with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools for pipeline management and reporting.
