Manufacturing Engineer

In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries.

The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do.

We can imagine millions of bipedal robots doing more work than all human labour does today freeing people from the servitude of some repetitive and boring tasks that nobody likes to perform.

We believe that we have enough abundance to take care of everyone who is displaced. Eventually, providing a universal basic income will lead to the true evolution of our civilization.

Labor shortages loom, as the demands on our built environment rise. With the world's workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed.

By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.

Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Process Development: Develop manufacturing processes for humanoid robotics systems, including assembly, testing, and quality control processes, to ensure efficient and scalable production.
Production Planning: Plan and schedule production activities, including material procurement, resource allocation, and production workflows, to meet production targets and delivery schedules.
Process Optimization: Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality, through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Tooling and Equipment Design: Design and develop manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment, including jigs, molds, assembly stations, and testing rigs, to support production operations and ensure consistency and repeatability.
Manufacturing Documentation: Prepare manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flow diagrams, and Bill of Materials (BOMs), to guide production activities and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection, to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
Supply Chain Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, including sourcing, procurement, and supplier qualification, to ensure timely delivery of components and materials for production.
Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives to optimize manufacturing costs and improve profitability, through material sourcing, process optimization, and value engineering.
Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning and production forecasting to anticipate production demands and ensure adequate resources are available to meet production requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity, leveraging data analysis and root cause analysis methodologies.Requirements:

Manufacturing Processes: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, machining, welding, casting, injection molding, and additive manufacturing, applied to robotic systems production.
Lean Manufacturing: Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and methodologies, such as 5S, Kaizen, value stream mapping, and Kanban, for optimizing production processes and reducing waste.
CAD/CAM Software: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX) for designing manufacturing tools, fixtures, and equipment, and generating CNC programs for machining operations.
Quality Management Systems: Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS), such as ISO 9001, and experience in implementing quality assurance measures and standards in manufacturing operations.
Materials and Processes: Knowledge of materials properties and manufacturing processes for metals, plastics, composites, and other materials used in robotic systems, and experience in selecting appropriate materials and processes for specific applications.
Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain management principles and practices, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics, and experience in managing relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Cost Analysis: Ability to conduct cost analysis and cost reduction initiatives, including cost estimation, cost modeling, and value engineering, to optimize manufacturing costs and improve profitability.
Capacity Planning: Experience in capacity planning and production forecasting techniques, such as demand forecasting, production scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient use of production resources.
Project Management: Proficiency in project management principles and practices, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder management, for leading manufacturing projects and initiatives.
Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of manufacturing issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.Reasons why you should apply:
